November 2015 Birchbox Review

I have talked before about how much I love getting my Birchbox in the mail every month and this month it was no different. The best part, I loved everything I got this time!

On to the products!

Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm

Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm – $16.50 – I was very iffy about this product when I first got it. I have very sensitive skin and I am actually allergic to most chapsticks and lip balms. Anyway, I braved it and decided to try it, and let me tell you this may be my new lip balm. It is a little pricier than I would like, but it works amazingly well. After just one day of use my lips were silky smooth and not chapped at all. This even kept my lips from getting chapped while riding horses in the cold, amazing! According to the packaging and the website, you can use this on hair, eyebrows, cuticles, or any other dry skin, though I think it is a little greasy for me to use like that. If you want an amazing lip balm though, seriously this is the stuff you want!

Temple Spa La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel – $18 – This stuff smells amazing, it is a mixture of mint, peppermint, and basil. I could literally feel my stress melt away as I was using it. It doesn’t get very sudsy like most shower gels, and it is more expensive than I would like to spend, but other than that I loved this!

Rusk Elixir Mist

Rusk Elixir Mist – $24 – I don’t know about you but I am guilty of using way too much heat on my hair between a blow dryer and straightener, not to mention the fact that my hair is damaged from dying it and such. Because of this, my hair is usually very frizzy, but this stuff works wonders for frizzy hair. Just a forewarning though, if you have oily hair, do not use too much of this or it will just make your hair greasy.

amika Nourishing Mask

amika Nourishing Mask – $28 – This is basically just a conditioner for your hair, but it smells great and does seem to nourish your hair. The sample I received was just enough for about 2 tries, but my hair was much more cooperative and did what I wanted it to after using (maybe also due in part to the Rusk Elixir Mist above?). This is a very good product for severely damaged hair, per other users on the site.

Loc One & Done Shadow Stick - Impress Me

Loc One & Done Shadow Stick – Impress Me – $10(just one) or $25 for the set of 3 and a sharpener – I do not wear makeup very often because it takes too much time. With a toddler getting into everything, if I am home with just her and no one to watch her, it takes twice as long to do my makeup. This is amazing stuff though! Just a couple of swipes and you are done, and it doesn’t come off for several hours and it’s waterproof. This is one that I will be purchasing in the future, and since I like it so much, I will most likely purchase the set of 3. It is so easy to apply, this would make a great stocking stuffer for any teenager!
