March 2016 Birchbox Review

As you know at the end of every month I tell you all about my Birchbox and how much I love each of the products I received that month. This month is no different, except, I used some of my points this month to get something I have been in love with! You will have to wait until the end of the post to learn what it is and just how much I paid for it.

theBalm cosmetics Stainiac

theBalm cosmetics Stainiac – $17.00 – This is a lip stain and cheek stain all in one. I have used lip stains before and they are just a tad too bright. When I saw this at first I thought it was going to be the same thing, way too bright for me, and then to try to put it on your cheeks? I was pleasantly surprised though. This is just enough color to give my lips and cheeks a natural look without being overly bright.

Cargo Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette

Cargo Land Down Under EyeShadow Palette – $34.00 – According to the item page, the full size contains Eye Shadow Palette (0.03 oz.), EyeLiner Pencil in Black (0.04 oz.), and Dual-Ended EyeShadow Brush, but since this was a sample, I only received 2 colors, I believe “brush” and “bridge” (the second one in from the left on top and bottom in the picture). These are colors that I typically use anyway so I was excited to get them and try them out. For a powder eyeshadow it stays on great for all day wear.

Cartier Eau De Cartier Zeste de Soleil Eau de Toilette Spray - 1.7 fl. oz.

Cartier Eau De Cartier Zeste de Soleil Eau de Toilette Spray – 1.7 fl. oz. – $67.00 – This perfume smells great and will get you in the mood for spring with it’s hints of citrus and fruit. A little goes a long way, but it is one of the few perfumes that I feel lasts most of the day. As much as I like it though, I won’t be purchasing this because it is just too pricey for me.

PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo

PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo – $22.00 – I have tried many volumizing shampoos and conditioners before, but this has to be one of my favorites. I love the smell and the way it makes my hair feel. It also helps tame flyaways and frizzy hair.

PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Conditioner – $22.00 – Just as with the shampoo above, I have tried many different volumizing shampoos and conditioners but this is one of my favorites.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser - 5 oz.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser – 5 oz. – $19.50 – I have always struggled with finding a face wash that I like. This face wash has changed that. It takes off my makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth, and it smells great!

Remember when I said I actually purchased a full sized item this month and that you had to wait until the end of the post to find out what it was, well you have made it! I am going to tell you all about my purchase.

LOC Ultimate Collection

LOC Ultimate Collection (Image credit Birchbox)

LOC Ultimate Collection – $46.00 (worth $79.00) – I am so excited to share this purchase with you! A while back I received one of the LOC eyeshadows in my box and I have been trying to order a full size ever since. Apparently I am not the only one who loved this product because they have been sold out for a long time. I was looking around the site one day and came across this ultimate collection that contains 3 Vibrant Matte Lipsticks – First Kiss, Wildest Dreams, Glam Life (0.02 oz.); 5 One & Done Shadow Sticks – On Point, Day Trip, Impress Me, Smoke Screen and Nite Owl (0.05 oz.); 1 Sharpener. I love it! The eyeshadows stay one and the lipsticks are great colors for everyone, from daytime to a night out on the town.

Here’s the best part, I saved up my points to purchase this and I spent $1.00 on the whole collection. You read that right! My points covered the entire purchase price and shipping, all but $1.00. I could have waited until I got my points from my review this month, but I didn’t want them to sell out again! I don’t have a problem paying $1 for a quality product that I love and that I will use.
