Since I haven’t been blogging due to revamping my blog I am a little behind on my Birchbox reviews. If you haven’t seen either of my two previous Birchbox reviews (July and August), then I just have to tell you that I absolutely love getting this box in the mail every month. I never know what is in the box and it is like a little gift to myself.
I never buy anything for myself, let alone beauty products, so it is nice to get the samples in the mail. Sometimes they are a little bigger than samples as well and last for a while. Other times it is just enough to know that I would like a product and would purchase it.
Another reason I love Birchbox is because if I write a review of the samples I get 10 points for each review and 1 point for each dollar spent. Those points add up over time and you can redeem them once you reach 100 points, which equals $10. How awesome is that?
So what did I get in September?
100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream -$25 – I would actually consider buying this one once my sample runs out. I have always had under eye puffiness and dark circles and I have tried everything to help cover them up. This is one product that I have actually found that helps. It doesn’t completely get rid of them, but I don’t think anything can. This does significantly reduce the darkness and make it easier to cover up with makeup though.
Rituals Foaming Shower Gel – $15 – I was in love with the smell of this one and I would consider buying this one as well, and it’s not that expensive! I was skeptical at first about the foaming gel because I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I did. I loved how it made my skin feel, and I have sensitive skin. Lastly, as a bonus, it can double as a shaving cream, just wash and shave before rinsing.
trèStiQue Conceal Correct Crayon – $26 – I love this. I can’t say it enough, this is the best part of the whole box this month. The price is a little high for me, but just the sample I received is enough to last a while. This covers up the dark circles perfectly! It covers up what the caffeine eye cream doesn’t fix.
Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Facial Cleanser – $32 – This stuff smells amazing! This is a great face wash, but not for me. It really did make my face feel smooth and clean, and like I said, I love the smell. The only reason it is not for me is because I prefer facial scrubs.
Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer – $46 – This one is out of my price range, but it is a great moisturizer. It makes my face feel silky smooth and not oily like most moisturizers. This is one I can use either right before bed or even right before putting my makeup on.
Davines Salt Spray – $27 – I am in love with this spray. I love that I can use it when I want to curl my hair and it doesn’t make my hair feel stiff or sticky, my hair still feels like hair. I am also in love with the smell, it almost smells like vanilla.
So far I think this is the best BirchBox I have received. You should try it out, it is only $10 a month, plus like I said you earn points for reviews and can eventually get free items.
Have you tried out BirchBox yet? Are you going to try it out?
