BirchBox October 2015 Review

If you have read any of my BirchBox reviews you know that I love getting my box in the mail every month. I love that you get 5 samples (occasionally 6) in the mail every month for just $10 per month, or $110 for an entire year. You can review the products on their site for 10 points each and once you reach 100+ points you can redeem them for almost any product. Essentially, in the end, each box only costs you $5. If you refer a friend, you can 50 more points, and for every dollar you spend you get 1 point. A really great deal if you ask me.

Without further ado, here is what I got in October.

Avene Thermal Spray – $12.50 – I hate giving bad reviews, but I have to be honest I don’t understand the point of this one. It is just aerosolized water. It is nice to have handy if I need a little spritz of water for my hair, but I can get this with just a spray bottle.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – $20 – I am not much of a dry shampoo user. I have never had any luck with them because I never liked the way they made my hair feel. I would rather just wash my hair and be done with it because I almost always ended up washing it anyway. With that being said, I have used this a couple of times and it is a great product. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy like other dry shampoos I have used in the past.

Dr. Jart Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution

Dr. Jart Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution – $9 – I love face masks and have tried many different kinds. This one, I was not impressed with. You apply it for 15-20 minutes and it is supposed to dry slightly during that time. That didn’t happen. It was so wet it dripped the whole time and I left it on for half an hour to give it the chance to dry like the directions said and it didn’t happen. I had to wash my face right after using this.

Make Skin Illuminator & Face Gloss Duo – $59 – Even though this is sold as a duo, I only received the face gloss. I understand the point of the face gloss, but it was way too sparkly for an adult. I could use my makeup though to tone it down a little bit.

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara – $23.50 – This is my new favorite mascara. It doesn’t make your eyelashes look fake or overly long, and it doesn’t clump like most mascara. It just looks natural.

There you have it, everything I received in my October BirchBox. This month wasn’t as good as past months, but that is OK, the whole purpose of this it to see what you like.

Have you tried BirchBox? If so, what did you get in your box that you liked or disliked?

Thanks for reading, Cassie
