BirchBox June 2016 Review

It’s that time of the month again! No not that time, but time for my BirchBox review. June marks my 12th BirchBox review, meaning I have been with BirchBox for a whole year and I plan to stick with them because I have gotten a lot of great things. This month is no different.

I do sometimes get a dud sample, but for the most part every box has at least 3 out of 5 items that I like. This month the box actually came with great timing because one of the items I happened to need!

Helmut Lang Cuiron

Helmut Lang Cuiron – $165.00 – First, this is way to expensive for me to even consider purchasing. Second, I didn’t like this at all. It is meant to be a unisex scent, but to me it smells like something meant just for men. It has a very strong scent that sticks around way too long, especially for no more than I put on. I don’t see myself purchasing this one at all.

ARDENCY INN MODSTER Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner

ARDENCY INN MODSTER Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner – $20.00 – This box came just in time because I was in need of another eyeliner, I was running out! I was even more stoked that it came in black because sometimes they will send you off colors. This eyeliner went on smoothly and didn’t smudge throughout the day. It’s even waterproof! This eyeliner goes on like your favorite liquid eyeliner without the annoying dry time. My sample was even big enough that it should last me a little while. I generally don’t spend $20 on eyeliner, but if I have enough points I could totally see myself using them to get this for free!

dr. brandt® PoreDermabrasion

dr. brandt® PoreDermabrasion – $58.00 – I love these kinds of dermabrasion scrubs. I love how they make my face feel smooth and clean after using them. This one I could see a noticeable difference in the size of my pores after using it. It even has a great smell! I wish the sample had a little more in it though. I could possibly see myself purchasing this one, even at the high price because it is 60 mL worth of product. I would want to use my points though, I don’t know that I would pay full price for it.

Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day SPF 30 UV Sun Fluid

Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day SPF 30 UV Sun Fluid – $34.00 – I usually hate wearing sunscreen because of the way it makes my skin feel, even though I know I should use it. This particular sunscreen is different though. It is lightweight and doesn’t make my skin feel oily. It’s even light enough that I can wear it under makeup if I need to. I was even more excited that this particular sample came with enough that it will last me most of the summer! If you are looking for a great sunscreen, this one is awesome for the price!

Davines MINU Conditioner - For Color-Treated Hair

Davines MINU Conditioner – For Color-Treated Hair – $29.00 – I am always coloring my hair, so I am always looking for great products to keep my hair feeling and looking it’s best. I absolutely love how this stuff makes my hair feel. It has a little bit of a strong smell, but I like it. The conditioner is very thick, and the sample size only allowed me to use it once, but overall a great product. I would purchase this for myself.

Davines MINU Shampoo - For Color-Treated Hair

Davines MINU Shampoo – For Color-Treated Hair – $25.00 – Again, because I am always coloring my hair I am trying to find the best products for my hair. This shampoo, just like the conditioner, has a little bit of a stronger smell but I like it. The sample was large enough that I could actually use it a couple of times so I was able to see a noticeable difference in my hair. With the shampoo a little goes a long way! This is one that I would purchase for myself.

There you have it, another great box from BirchBox! I love getting them in the mail because it means every month I get a little something for myself when I normally wouldn’t purchase something. It’s amazing that I am able to get all these products for just $10 a month, plus if you add in the points I received for reviewing them, this months box only cost me $4 (10 points for each review, each 10 points is worth $1), and trust me, the products I received are worth more than $4.

Do you think you will ever sign up for BirchBox? Why or why not?
