30 Days of Thanks

I am sure you know that in November it is typical for people to post one thing they are thankful for once a day for the entire month on their Facebook or Twitter page. It is a great idea, and I really like the idea of using social media for positivity instead of negativity.

I decided, instead of posting once a day, I would compile all the things I am thankful for in one post, and what better day to publish it than Thanksgiving day?

30 Days of Thanks

So, the 30 things I am thankful for:

  1. I am thankful for my health.
  2. I am thankful for my husband, his health, and everything he does for our family.
  3. I am thankful for my daughter and her health.
  4. I am thankful that I get to stay at home with my daughter.
  5. I am thankful for everything I have learned from my daughter and being a mom.
  6. I am thankful for my family and friends.
  7. I am thankful for the support I have had from my family and friends.
  8. I am thankful that I have a very flexible nursing job.
  9. I am thankful that I have found a wonderful work at home job.
  10. I am thankful that I have a house to live in.
  11. I am thankful for my brother and all the other military personnel.
  12. I am thankful for my freedom.
  13. I am thankful for the country I live in.
  14. I am thankful for wine, and coffee.
  15. I am thankful for the clean conditions I was able to give birth in.
  16. I am thankful that I am getting better at cooking.
  17. I am thankful for my crockpot.
  18. I am thankful that I don’t have to worry about if I can feed my family.
  19. I am thankful for my animals.
  20. I am thankful for God.
  21. I am thankful for my patience.
  22. I am thankful for this blog and those I have found through blogging.
  23. I am thankful for the laughter my daughter brings to me and my family.
  24. I am thankful that I woke up today.
  25. I am thankful for all those who taught me throughout the years.
  26. I am thankful that my grandmother is still here to cook on Thanksgiving day.
  27. I am thankful that I can spend time with my family on Thanksgiving.
  28. I am thankful for Thanksgiving day football and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and that I can watch them.
  29. I am thankful for love.
  30. I am thankful for the wisdom of those much older than me.

There are a lot of other things I am thankful for, but these are just the top of my list. I think we should show thankfulness every day of the year, but I know that it can be difficult to do. I try to remind myself everyday that I am thankful I wake up, even if it is earlier than I would like.

What are you thankful for?
